Kyle Hayden is recognized as the founder of the PowerUp program, a Student Service Specialist, and the 2019 Advisor of the Year at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC), located in the heart of Milwaukee WI; where he received his Associates degree in Mechanical Design and was an active member of the Black Student Union. He later went on for his Bachelors in Business Communications degree from University of Phoenix and is currently enrolled in his Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Clinical Counseling at Northcentral University. He is also a Campaign for Black Male Achievement (CBMA) American Express Leadership Academy Fellow. CBMA is a national network of leaders and organizations committed to building communities for black men and boys to achieve their fullest potential. Kyle’s passion for building families and communities stems from overcoming the poverty, violence, and dysfunctional living he endured as a child. His current mission is to encourage, engage, and equip others to believe in the possibilities of becoming the best versions of themselves and achieving civil equality through the avenues of love, empathy, and justice; thus helping to build a beloved community.
