is a vibrant Zambian woman passionate about challenging inequality and injustice in today’s society that is growing in focus on what differentiates and divides us. In 2014, she founded the Sani Foundation to promote and champion inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities into Zambian society. Through the Sani Foundation, she also advocates for the adoption of more inclusive job market policies, while encouraging employers to hire people with disabilities. In 2017 TEDx Lusaka under the theme 'To Get Lost is to Learn the Way' in which she spoke about challenging inequality and exclusion from a different perspective than the on-going charity model and promoting the inherent dignity of persons with disabilities in Zambia.
In addition to being a strong and passionate disability rights advocate, Michelle is also an experienced Financial Management Specialist with membership in the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA). She has over 10 years of progressive experience in both the private sector and development spheres, gaining valuable and diverse expertise.
